Susan Wahlke isn't a career politician who discovered Lincoln City when it was time to run. She grew up here, raised her family here, and has spent decades working to make it better.

Her Story
Susan Wahlke has made her home in north Lincoln County for over 30 years. Her husband ran a local small business for over 15 years and together they raised two daughters. She understands the problems and challenges facing everyday people in Lincoln City and sees great opportunities ahead.
Raised in Oregon City, Susan's education focused on leadership and management. She went to University of Oregon for a BA in Elementary Education, but then went on to complete both a Ford Institute Leadership Program and Small Business Management Program at Oregon Coast Community College. In 2016, Susan increased her skill base through Lincoln City Citizens Police Academy. Later, she enhanced her business knowledge through the Non-Profit Management Program at OCCC.
Before Susan was elected to city government in Lincoln City, her work history was wide ranging - teacher; Downtown Manager for the Bay Area Merchants Association; Assistant to the Chief of Police. In 2015, she was elected to the City Council for Ward 1. Susan became Mayor in 2021 and was elected again in 2022. If re-elected, she will continue to provide leadership for the Council and promote positive relationships with Council members, City staff, and community members.

Good intentions don't fix potholes or provide housing. Susan focuses on her time, energy, and creativity in finding lasting, real world solution. For over three decades, she has worked to make a difference.
Love of Lincoln City
This is where she raised her family. She wants it to continue to be the most livable place on the Oregon coast. Change must be good for all residents of Lincoln City, not just the loudest voices in the room.
