Collaboration
Building Lincoln City Together
A Mayor Who Listens
Susan Wahlke believes that the best decisions for Lincoln City come from working together — with residents, businesses, community organizations, and neighboring cities. Real progress happens when every voice is heard.
Throughout her time in office, Susan has worked collaboratively with other council members, hard working staff, community members, and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians . As mayor, she promotes mutual respect and courtesy despite differences of opinion. Susan knows that positive relationships move the city forward.
As a result, proposals have moved from funding to real changes:
- New safe pathways for pedestrians throughout the city, from Neotsu to Siletz
- 190 new housing units, some for low income residents
- New pump station in Spring Lake, funded, not yet built
- Schooner Creek Discovery Park - first fully ADA accessible park on the Oregon coast
- New Welcome Center at D River, one of the coast's busiest parks
