Susan Wahlke is a proven leader with broad experience working across multiple agencies and every facet of city government. Her depth of knowledge  is why she delivers for Lincoln City.

She has long experience in city government, starting with her work for the offices of the City Attorney and the Chief of Police. From her work as member and chair of the Budget Committee to finding funding for the Spring Lake Pump Station, she has developed a thorough understanding of the financial side of city government. Her work with the Urban Renewal Agency and continued study of small business management informs every decision she makes. Susan continues to develop her expertise by comparing notes with other mayors via Oregon Coastal Mayors Coalition & Oregon Mayors Association. It is clear that other mayors learn from her, too - OMA honored Susan with a Leadership award in 2024
